Merdeka Park is a small, but pretty park centrally located in Johor Bahru. The park is adjacent to the Johor Golf Course. The park features a pleasant 1 km jogging path around a lake & clock tower, and a tea room. Unfortunately, there aren’t really any runnable roads in the area to extend the run, so you’ll be doing laps! Note: Hours are 7am-7pm

Other Routes in Johor Bahru, Malaysia
One of the best options for a longish, scenic run in Johor Bahru. ~2.5 km of pleasant running along Stulang Beach to the Marina. Continue for 1.5 km, using a historic shopping lane, and then enjoy 2-3 km of paths in the Zaharah Botanic Gardens.
A small forest park, centrally located in Johor Bahru. It's a good spot for a run on a hot day, as the park is nicely shaded. One can do 1-2 km around the lush, wooded trails of the park.
Adda Heights Park is one of the more popular parks for running in Johor Bahru. There's a ~3k jogging path around the park, featuring nice greenery and a small lake. For a longer run, it's 1.2 km to Riverside Park, which has a 1 km jogging trail. Video excerpts!
Setia Indah Park, located in Taman Setia Indah section of Johor, is a pleasant park for a short run. The park features ~2 km of paved paths, with some open and shaded sections. A loop around the perimeter is ~1 km.
Senibong Cove is an upscale waterfront neighborhood in Masai, 25 km east of the city center. Stitch together a run combining the short waterfront path and the quiet residential streets, including Island Park. Can also run on the streets of the Permas Jaya neighborhood, north of Highway 35
