This is a terrific 10k ‘runseeing’ tour of Klaipėda. It’s scenic, mostly off-road, and hits the city’s highlights: Old Town, Castle, harbor, Jonas Hill, Sculpture Park, and Malūno parkas.
Start in Theatre Square. The first 2 km section is along a path along the Castle Marina to Klaipeda Castle. Return, take a quick jaunt out to the port, passing the Black Ghost of Klaipėda sculpture. Come back out, cross the Pilies tiltas Bridge, and run along the water to the Sculpture Park, which has paths passing outdoor sculptures and along the water. Then, take the Biržos tiltas bridge, and run along the south bank of the river to Jonas Hill, a waterside park/fortress. Do a ~1 km loop on the paths around there, and then along the water, RIGHT along Gluosnių skg. to Malūno parkas. It’s the main city park of Klaipėda, with ~2 km of pleasant open and wooded paths. There’s a running track at the western end. For the return, use Tilžės g. — a pleasant street that leads back to Old Town.
