Scenic, wooded trail running just steps from downtown Kristiansand! Baneheia Park & Ravnedalen Park are adjacent, forested hiking areas just across the E18. Paths wind through a forest of tall evergreens, passing three lakes, including Bånetjønn & Stampe 3, a popular swimming lake. The mainly cinder paths are a mix — easier and wider in the Ravnedalen section, and more rugged further north. The area is fairly hilly. BONUS: trails are lit at night!

A loop of the trails is ~5 km. There are opportunities to make this a longer run by extending north into Hellerstønuten. There are kiosks in the park with maps.
Add-Ons: Just inland, enjoy the mainly pedestrian streets of Kvadraturen, ‘s central area. Lovely, colorful homes in Posebyen!
