A longstanding institution of the Macon Tracks Running Club is the Sunday morning ‘Triangle Run’. This is a 12-mile loop on lower trafficked back roads in northwestern Macon. The run starts at 6:45 am on Sundays from the Triangle, a gym located off Old Forsyth Rd. Some runners do the full loop, or there are options for 7.5 miles and 9 miles. Information here.

You can also, of course, do this run on your own at other times. However, note that these roads do not have a shoulder or sidewalk, and can be busy with traffic.

Route directions: Begin from the triangle, run along Rivoli (crossing back over the railroad tracks after the fire station). Turn left on Estes Road. Continue on Estes, turning left on Zebulon. At the 9-mile mark, follow Colaparchee to the stop sign, turning left on Old Forsyth to get back to the triangle.
