The Palmar area is a popular visitor spot on Mauritius, for its beach and beautiful water views. There are a couple of good running options here:
Road Along Beach. There’s a fairly firm sand dirt road along the beach off the B59 Highway. From Palmar Beach, the road extends for ~1.5 km south to a public parking lot in Trou d’Eau Douce. ROUTE MAP
Inland from Belle Mar. There are some quieter farming roads inland from Belle Mar Beach that are suitable for running. Access from the Splash N Fun Leisure Park or off the B62 at The Links golf course.
