The Tim Maia ciclovia (bike path) is part of the city’s efforts to improve transport links before the 2016 Games. The elevated, paved multi-use path runs for 5 km alongside the Elevado das Bandeiras coastal expressway between the east end of the Praia de São Conrado and the Barra Pier, not far from the Olympic Park in Barra de Tijuca. The path winds along the rocky coast, offering panoramic views, making for a great run.
Add-On: Connect to the Barra Beach promenade from the west end of the Ciclovia.
