Westduinpark (Hague)

Westduinpark is a  240 hectare coastal park, located in Kijkduin and just south of the the port of Scheveningen. It has an extensive network of bicycle, riding, and pedestrian trails through dunes and woods. It is ~4.5 km from one end of the park to the other. Closer to the beach are paths through dunes, such as the Peter Pauluspad trail that runs nearly the length of the park. The LF1 is a paved cycle path (also good for running) between Scheveningen and Kijkduin, which runs straight through the dune landscape, parallel to the coast. Runners can also use the more ‘hiking’ Path 5, the Dutch Coastal Path which also runs between Scheveningen and Kijkduin. Numerous other paths run through dune valleys and over dune tops, providing great vies of the city and sea.

Longer Run: Great beach running adjacent to Westduinpark, heading south. Or, cross over to Scheveningen, and run along the beach, the boardwalk path that goes for 3 km from the port heading north, or to Scheveningen Woods, which is 2 km away (use Kranenburgweg, Van Boetzelaerlaan, or Tram 28).
