Guadelupe River Trail

A 9-mile bike path that runs along the Guadelupe River from the heart of downtown San Jose, through Silicon Valley, to Alviso in San Francisco Bay. In downtown San Jose, a highlight is 250-acre Guadelupe River Park. A southern section of the trail continues to the airport. In the bay area, there are connections to the Alviso Park trails. Good connections to this trail (and parking) near the Santa Clara Library/Rivermark Plaza (Convention Center, Oracle, Cisco) off Montague Expwy. The trail is fairly well signed, but it be a bit tricky to follow in the downtown area.

Add-On: Campus of Santa Clara University. You can do a nice ~2 mile loop on the paths of this pretty campus. It’s 1.5 miles west of Guadelupe River Park. Use W. Taylor St. and the Alameda to get there.
