National Sports Stadium Area

For some off-road laps near the center of Ulaanbaatar, runners head to the National Sports Stadium. Inside the stadium there’s an excellent 400m running track, though it is not always open to the public.  However, in Ulaanbaatar Stadium Outside Park, there’s a 1 km paved path, closed to cars, that loops around the perimeter of the stadium. You’ll find lots of folks walking here, and numerous shops and market stands — it can be crowded, so best to run early depending on the season.

Add-Ons: It’s possible to combine this with National Park. It’s 2.5 km away, using Ikh Kuree St., which is almost like a highway but does have a dedicated sidewalk/pedestrian path.
