The Wild Pacific Trail is one of the most scenic coastal trail running options on Vancouver Island. It’s located in Ucluelet on the island’s rugged west coast, situated on a peninsula at the entrance to Barkley Sound, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. 
 
The Wild Pacific Trail is an 8 km coastal trail, showcasing coastal forests, bogs, and mudlats. It’s a wide gravel trail, generally flat with a few short hill sectoins. There are two main sections of the trail, which can be combined. Click on the links for more detailed descriptions. PRO TIP: Gorgeous at sunset!   

Big Beach to Rocky Bluffs (5 km one way). Add the Ancient Cedars Trail (1 km loop), which passes gorgeous giant cedars. 

Lighthouse Loop (2.6 km loop). Can also add the Terrace Beach Interpretive Trail (.5 km one way).
