Tourism Whistler/Mike Crane

The Lost Lake Loop is one of the most popular places to run in the Whistler area. Scenic, fairly flat, easy to follow, and lit at night — who could ask for more? The heart of the run is the 2 km loop around Lost Lake, which is located in Lost Lake Park (where there are numerous other trails). The gravel trail is mainly through woods, with some occasional lake views. And it’s a great spot for a post run hang out or dip!

In addition to the 2 km loop around the lake itself, we’ve mapped a route from Whistler Village, making for a 5.8 km out and back. The best place to start is across from the Visitor Center, off Blackomb Way. Here, it starts as Valley Trail. Follow the part of the trail to the left of the BMX Park, to the right of Parking Lot 3, passing the Audain Art Museum. At the 1 km mark, just past the Cross Country Section store, bear right on the Lost Lake Trail, and follow for another 1 km to Lost Lake Park. Then, enjoy the loop around the lake, and retrace your steps to the start.

Note: Lit at night. Might be prioritized for XC skiing in winter.
