This is a lovely 10k run incorporating the best of historic York Village and the the seaport town of York Harbor. Much of the route is along waterside roads. Start in quaint York Village, and run east on Linday Rd. toward the water for 0.7 miles. Turn LEFT and run over the York River using the path and Wiggly Bridge. Turn LEFT on Barrell Ln. and loop right onto Rt. 1A (York St.), heading back down to the water. We’ve included an 0.5 mile spur down Stage Neck Rd. to Stage Neck. Come back and then take the lovely Cliff Walk path north for 0.5 miles. Now at the 3-mile mark, you’ll do a 1-mile loop around East Point and Cow Beach Point, using Norwood Farms Rd. and Roaring Rock Rd., back to Rt. 1A. For the return, retrace your steps along the water (or take 1A), and take York St. (decent sidewalk) and Barrell Ln. back to York Village.
Options: The route can be shortened by eliminating the East Point Loop. You can also start in York Harbor and eliminate about 1.5 miles of Lindsay Rd. and Rt. 1A.
- 6.2 mile loop
- 256 feet
- York Village
- Parking available
