This park is a pleasure for running, centrally located off US 101 and Marsh Rd. in Menlo Park. At 160 acres, the park’s interior paths are hilly, winding through groves of trees and ranchland type terrain (feels like Texas Hill Country), while the outer perimeter trails form a flat, 2.3 mile loop around the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge, skirting the salt marshes, with views to the mountains. The light here is gorgeous early and late in the day. The trails are mainly gravel, with some paved.
Note: Park closes at dark (6pm-9pm depending on time of year).
