The Avenue Hassan II mixes the best of road running and park running together with a lovely median that spans ~2 km down the street. While the road itself continues on longer, the median can be found between the intersections of Avenue Mollay Youssef and Avenue Allal Ben Abdellah. This palm-lined sidewalk features two lanes of stone pavers, statues, and gardens. It’s a pleasant spot for laps or an out and back, and easily connects to the Parc Champ de Course/Jardin de Nouveau Méchouar for more mileage.

Other Routes in Fez, Morocco
Run the streets of Fez’s pedestrian friendly medina (Fes El Bali) on our 8 km ‘runseeing’ tour. Highlights include the city walls, gardens, and leather tanneries.
Some of the best running in Fez is located in the Forêt d'ain Chkef, a shaded forest located just south of the city center. Here, runners can find over 5k of smooth gravel and dirt pathways.
One of the better options for a road run is the N6 highway between Fez and Meknes. Our favorite section is the wide sidewalk between Agdal and the Université Euro-Méditerranéenne de Fez, nearly 6 km.
The Parc Champ de Course is one of the larger green spaces in Fez. Runners can form a 1 km loop around its palm trees, paths, and gardens, then add on a jaunt to the Jardin de Nouveau Méchouar and back.
This moderate trail run departs from the bustling streets of Fez and heads through farmland to great views of the city below. We’ve mapped a 7 km (one way) course.
