The Viña del Mar Botanical Gardens are a lovely escape from the city. For a small fee of $2 USD, runners can access a wide selection of trails and paths where jogging is welcome. The most popular option is the “Sendero Peatonal,” a 1 km pedestrian path from the Pérgola entrance to Laguna Lineo. There are also several other trails (shared with bicycle traffic) and some hard-packed dirt roads circling the park. A loop around the main park paths is about 3 km, but runners can add mileage with loops and side trails.

There are some more rugged, hilly trails just west of the Botanical Garden.
