Further north along the Aura River, there’s a scenic trail through Virnamäenpuisto (park). The trail runs for 2.5 km between the Karalan Bridge & Hallisbron Bridge (Halistensilta), passing through a landscape of open fields & farmland. Easiest access is the parking lot just south of Karalan Bridge.
Longer Run: There are good opportunities to add on here.
- Just west of Hallisbron Bridge, join our upper Aura River route.
- East of the Karalan Bridge, Vanha Ravattulantie is a small road continuing east to a couple of historical landmarks.
- South of the parking lot near Karlan Bridge, a cycle path runs parallel to Jahnvägen for 1.3 km.
