The Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area is a nice spot for some trail running, with something for all abilities. Located 13 miles north of downtown Harrisburg, the area features 12 miles of trails, ranging from easier to more challenging hiking/trail running. The terrain is mainly wooded, with some challenging, hilly terrain in the area around Blue Mountain. The 1,025-acre conservation area also features large trees of numerous species.
