There’s scenic waterfront running in Trani, a seaport town located 40 km north of Bari. One can run for nearly 6 km one-way from Seconda Spiaggia (beach) just south of Trani, through town, around the marina, and to the 13th-century Castello Svevo di Trani. There’s a wide sidewalk or dedicated waterfront path (Lungomare) most of the way, as well as a paved cycle path (Cyclovia Adriatica) alongside. There are great water views.
Google Street View
Start anywhere along the path. From the center of Trani, near the marina, it’s ~4.5 km south and ~1.3 km north. There are great water views most of the way. From the southern start, you’ll pass several beaches. In Trani itself, there’s a lovely waterfront park on the marina, and a nice path around the marina. The path ends at the Castello, which is worth a look.
Add-Ons: Explore the narrow streets of the historic centre of Trani, between the water and Corso Imbriani.
