For some of the easier trail running in Dunedin, we recommend Ross Creek. The area is located in the northwestern part of Dunedin and features several km of mainly wooded, hilly trails. It’s ~1.7 km from south to north and 1.3 km to the western end at the golf course. A loop around the Ross Creek Reservoir is 1 km.  Note: the trails are hilly. From south to north it’s  180m climb. Less hilly east to west.

For a longer run, the Ross Creek Reservoir is adjacent to Woodhaugh Gardens. The 1.2 km Water of Leith Trail connects to the Ross Creek Reservoir Trail.
