This is another nice run in Suva, Fiji’s capital, exploring the city’s parks, key sites, and better roads for running. It overlaps with and can be combined with the Suva waterfront route. We haven’t mapped a specific route — rather, we recommend creating your own.

A great place to start is in Suva City Center at Albert Park. There’s a pleasant 1 km path around the perimeter of the park — very lush! Add another 0.5 km exploring the adjacent Thurston Gardens. Cakobau Rd., which bisects Albert Park & Thurston Gardens, has a good sidewalk and is pleasant for running. Then, we recommend running along Victoria Parade, which run for 1 km between the State House and Ratu Sakuna Park. It’s the main commercial street, with good sidewalks and some older, historic buildings.

To extend your route, choose a section of the waterfront path, which mainly runs along Queen Elizabeth Dr. There are also some quieter side streets that are fun to explore east of Queen Elizabeth Dr. though it does get hilly away from the water! Another option is to explore the eastern part of Suva, near The University of the South Pacific, where there’s a running track at HFC Bank Stadium and nice waterfront running along Queen Elizabeth Rd.
