In Redwood City near San Carlos just east of I-280, Pulgas Ridge and Edgewood Park & Preserve offer several miles of scenic, hilly trail running.
Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve This 366-acre open space features six miles of trails ranging from easy to challenging. Mainly open with some wooded sections. Hilly! There are cool canyons and a ridge top with views toward the bay and surrounding hillsides. Parking lot & entrance off Edmunds Rd. NOTE: Can connect to Edgewood Park (below) across Edgewood Rd. Edgewood Park & Preserve. This 467-acre area features a nice combination of trails through woodland and grassland. Quite hilly, The 1-mile Sylvan Trail is a bit easier & popular with joggers.
