The Sea Garden is an iconic waterfront park in Burgas that makes for a great run. The park features interior paths through lawns and landscaped gardens, and a paved multi-use path along the water. It’s easily accessible from central Burgas and can be combined with our waterfront route for a longer run. Good shade option on a hot day!
Choose from a straight shot interior path that runs through the center of the park for its entire 2.5 km length — using the two Fountains as an anchor — or choose from the numerous crisscrossing paths throughout the park. There are lawns, landscaped gardens, an open-air theater, an outdoor pool, two fountains, and numerous monuments that have a Soviet era feel, such as the Pantheon of the Fallen Antifascists. There’s also a paved seafront multi-use path, and a nice 0.3 km jaunt out the Burgas Pier. Sticking mainly to the park can easily be a 5-7 km run without overlapping paths.
Longer Run. From the southern end of the park, continue 0.7 km to the Port Burgas Lighthouse, add with our seafront route and/or our Burgas ‘runseeing’ tour.
