For a nice run in the western district of Milan, we love combining Parco delle Cave and parco Aldo Aniasi. The terrain is quite open and borders on an agriculrural area.
Parco delle Cave, located in the Baggio neighborhood, is on the site of a former quarry, featuring lakes, running/biking trails. A loop of this park, including a small lake loop, is 3-4 km. To combine with parco Aldo Aniasi, use Via Caldera to cross Via Novara.
Aldo Aniasi is a different type of landscape, featuring extensive meadows connected by tree-lined cycle paths. You can do 3-4 km around this park. So overall, it’s possible to run 8-10 km combining these parks!
