The J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area is another scenic spot for some trail running among cypress wetlands. Located 25 northwest of West Palm Beach, this 60,000-acre preserve features many miles of road and trails, with a landscape that includes cypress wetlands, sawgrass marsh, slash pine flatwoods, and hardwood hammock.
For running, a good way to start is with the scenic 1.2 mile Hungryland Boardwalk and Trail. Just off that is the Ocean to Lake Trail — a multi-use trail that traverses the area from the south entrance west to Dupuis Reserve. There are many additional miles of unimproved roads and more rugged trails that can be explored.
