The Pian de Ra Spines is a scenic along the Boite Stream in Fiames, located 5 km north of Cortina. It’s a good alternative to the ** multi-use trail and is one of the only easier, flatter running options in the area. It’s a 7 km loop along a firm gravel path. It’s mainly wooded, with some views of the narrow river and surrounding mountains. Pro Tip: Good shade option on a hot day. Note: Used for X-C skiing in winter.
Start at the parking lot on Path 410. After the Felizon Bridge, bear LEFT on Path 417, for a lovely section along the stream. Follow Path 417 for the rest of the loop. You’ll pass the “Librasción,” a bookshop in the woods based on BookCrossing, a chalet, some art installations in the trees, and a camping area. After the camping area, take Path 10, which passes the Fiames Hotel. Use Path 10 to complete the loop.
