In honor of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, we’ve created a route in the Olympic Village area. We note that many of the Olympic venues in Milan are outside the city center, and not near any of our favorite Milan running routes. The Olympic Village is near the Porta Romana train station. It’s not a great area for running — lots of busy roads. We’ve stitched together an 8k route connecting several small parks, including a running track. Note: There’s a large project underway to improve the Porta Romana area, with a planned elevated pedestrian crossing at Piazalle Lodi.

Start at the Olympic Village and head north, crossing V. Isonzo. LEFT, doing loops around Parco Alessandrina Ravizza & Parco della Resistenza, passing through the Bocconi Sport Center (swimming pools). LEFT, crossing V. Tribaldi, and run through the 0.8 km linear park (Parco di via boeri). You’ll then do a ~2 km loop around the narrow Giardino Paolo Scrofani, a park along the busy Viale Giovanni da Cermenate. Head east along V. Giacomo Antonini to the running track at the Centro Sportivo “Forza e Coraggio”. Complete the route using V. dei Fontanini.
