For those looking for a longer run in Beaufort, this nearly 10-mile route combines part of the historic district, two bridges, and a section of the Spanish Moss Trail multi-use path. Starting at Waterfront Park, head over the Woods Memorial Bridge, with great views of the Harbor River (note: narrow sidewalk). Coming off the bridge, run south for nearly 2 miles along Meridian Rd. There’s a lovely canopy (but no sidewalk). Cross back over the water on Lady Island Dr. (note: very busy road but there is a wide shoulder).

Head west for 1 on Waddell Rd., through a residential area, making your way onto the aptly named Spanish Moss Trail. Continue north (turning right) on the paved multi-use trail to the Depot Rd. trailhead, and then take Depot St. to Bay St., concluding your route with a spectacular section on Bay St., with gorgeous homes on the left and gorgeous water views on the right.
Add-Ons: Enjoy some of the graceful streets in downtown Beaufort, adjacent to Bay St. Can also add on more miles of the 10-mile Spanish Moss Trail.

Create your own run around the residential streets of Beaufort's historic section. Gorgeous streets with draping live oaks, gracious older homes, and water views. Good options to add on.
The best option for a long off-road run in the Beaufort area. The paved multi-use path has an access point ~1 mile west of Beaufort center, and runs south toward Port Royal and north past the Marine Corps Air Station. Nice canopy and occasional marsh views.
5,000 acre state park on a barrier island located 15 miles east of Beaufort. Lovely beach, and water related activities. Over 10 miles of recently renovated, relatively forested trails and a fantastic beach for running.
