Historic Cabot St.

Beverly is another pleasant town on Boston’s north shore, just north of Salem. We’ve put together a 4-mile loop, combining some lovely waterfront running and Beverly’s historic downtown. Start at the south end of Cabot St. at Stone St. and make your way down to Water St. Run north on Water St./Lothrop St. along the water, passing Independence Park and nice water views. At the intersection with Rt. 127, stay right, continuing adjacent to the water along Ober St. Follow to Lynch Park & Garden, with a quick jaunt down to Woodbury Point. Return along Ober St., which becomes Hale St. at the Cemetery. Run through the small campus of the Montserrat College of Art (Dane St.), to the Beverly Public Library. Then LEFT on Cabot St. for the final 0.7 miles, enjoying the historic buildings, shops, and restaurants of Beverly’s main street.

Add-On: Pretty residential streets on either side of Cabot St. West to Rt. 1A and east toward the water.
