Brighton Marina Tour

Geograph.co.uk via Wikimedia Commons

The Brighton Marina, located 1.8 miles east of Brighton Pier, makes for a scenic standalone run or a longer route in conjunction with the area’s 10+ miles of seafront paths. It’s possible to do about 4 miles along the marina’s paths and out to two piers — the East Arm and West Arm.

Our tour starts at the Car Park just west of the Marina at Black Rock Beach. There are four ‘sections’ of the route: 0.7 miles along the Undercliff Walk; 1.5 miles down the East Arm Pier and back to the marina; a section on the marina promenade path just south of The Strand (main commercial road) to the Boardwalk; and a ~1 mile out and back run down the East Arm pier.

Add-Ons: From the marina, you can run south/east on the Undercliff Walk for ~2.5 miles to Saltdean, or west for ~7 miles to Southwick. See our routes there!

Essentials
  • Marina tour is 4 miles (6.4 km); Add on with seafront paths headed either direction
  • Car Park at Black Rock Beach
  • Bus access and car parks
