Features:
La Izvor Park, located in the Buiucani district in the northwestern outskirts of Chișinău, is another one of a series of parks in the city that are great for running. This 150-hectare park is one of the newer parks in Chișinău, and has been recently renovated. There are 3-4 km of paths in the parks, and three small lakes (there are paths around Lakes 1&2, not 3). One of the highlights of La Izvor Park is the Bridge of Love, which runs between Lakes 1&2. The landscape in this park is mainly open. On the western side, there are sports fields, a skate park, playgrounds, ropes course, and a small soccer stadium. There’s a small beach on Lake 1 that’s popular in summer. We’ve mapped a route around the park that’s ~3.6 km.
Add-On: Just south of the R1 is Butoiaș Forest-Park, which has 1-2 km of wooded paths. Use Google Maps to get best pedestrian route between the parks (~1.5 km).
