Features:
Rose Valley Park is a large park in the southern part of Chișinău. It’s one of the best places in Chișinău for a run. Originally the remains of an old Slavic sanctuary, rose-lined lanes were planed in the 1950s and today there are 500 species of shrubs and flora, three small lakes, and an amusement park.
For running, it’s possible to do a route of 7-8 km on the trails without overlapping. The trails are mainly paved (though some are not in great repair), and the landscape is a combination of open and wooded, with some sports fields. A great way to get oriented is to do the long, allée-like Valea Trandafirilor path that runs for 1.2 km north-south. Then, enjoy the paths passing by the lakes — numbered Lake 1,2,3. There’s also a road/path called Str. Malina Mare that extends from the southern end of Lake 1 for 1.4 km, crossing the Dacia Blvd (R2).
- Possible to do a route of 8-9 km without overlapping. Our mapped route is 7.8 km (4.9 miles)
- Rolling hills
- Parking area at southwest end of park
