This is a nice run combining Eling Park and Fotuguan Park, in the Yuzhong District on the south side of the Jialing River. Overall, combining the two parks is a nearly 5k out & back. Note it’s hilly! Pro Tip: Fotuguan Park is especially pretty in spring, with plum blossoms & more.
Eling Park is a pleasant urban green space with walking trails, a bridge, nice landscaping, and great views of the city skyline from observation platforms at the east end. It’s a long and narrow park. It’s ~1.2 km through the park on the main walking trail. Continue into Fotuguan Park,
Fotuguan Park also has walking trails, including some hill/cliff trails. It’s ~1.3 km through the park, but there are also other hilly paths that can be added on. The park features a popular light rail ride through its blossoms, and is especially pretty in spring.
Add-On: Take a jaunt from Eling Park to the Liziba Viewing Platform, which is a popular tourist spot for viewing where the right rail goes through a building at 7 stories high. Use Lizibazheng St.
