Bald Hill Natural Area

Due west of Corvallis, this sprawling 285 acre nature park is popular among hikers, dog walkers, and cyclists. Runners will be met with a network of more than 5 miles of dirt and gravel trails, some culminating in great views across the Corvallis Valley. There are numerous starting points throughout the greater Mulkey Trail Complex: some favorites for longer runs include the Oak Creek and the Fitton Green trailheads. Another nice easygoing option is to start at the Benton County Fairgrounds and access the dirt paths via the paved multi-use Midge Cramer Trail (at SW 53rd & Campus Way). A loop of the main Bald Hill area via the Midge Cramer Multi-Use Path and the Bald Hill Multi-Use Path is about 4 miles.
