Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

Rab Island – Rab Town Waterfront Run

Creative Commons: Rudy Balasko

Rab Island is at the northern end of what’s considered to be the Dalmatian Coast. In the town of Rab, there’s a very scenic waterfront run on a dedicated path that goes right along the water. From the center of town at the Marina, start with a loop around Park-šuma Komrčar, and then on the path along the west side of the peninsula that leads to the Ferry Terminal. Run through Dorka Town Park, crossing to the east side, and run south along the water for another 2.5 km to Petrac Town Beach.

Overall, it’s 5.6 km one-way. An out and back doing the peninsula loop only once would be ~8.5 km.

Essentials
  • Including park loop, up to 5.6 km one-way, or 8.5 km out and back doing the peninsula loop only once
  • 55m for one-way run
  • Rab town center near the Marina
  • Ferry terminal at end of peninsula
