Seepark is one of the more popular spots for a run in Freiburg. Located just a couple of km west of the city center, this pleasant park features a 1.8 km loop around the Flückigersee (lake). A highlight is the Schwimmender Steg, a scenic boardwalk across the lake. There are additional paths, such as the Siedlerweg, that go through the park and around the Japanese Garden and Rose Garden. There’s also a running track at the Seeparkstadion sports complex at the northern end of the lake.

It’s possible to run here from the center of Freiburg. It’s ~2 km to the Seepark, using Breisacher Str., which passes through the university hospital complex.

Add-On Options/Longer Run: Just 1 km south of Seepark, connect to the Dreisam River path. Use the cycle path along Paduaallee, to the Hermann-Zens-Brücke bridge.
