The 500-acre Graham Creek Nature Preserve, located 10 miles inland from Gulf Shores, offers some of the best opportunities for off-road running in the area. There are several miles of marked and unmarked trails (all unpaved) winding their way through pine savannas, bottomland wetlands, mixed forests, and tidal marshes. This trail map has excellent information on the trails with the numerous loop options. Inside the park, there are a two trail kiosks, and a more detailed map available. Some of the trails are wide and gentle, others are narrower and more rugged.

One of the best options for running is the marked 5k Cross Country Trail. The longest loop is the 4.3 mile Creek Crawl Trail.
