In East Kowloon, in the area of the former Kai Tak airport, there’s a wonderful 8.5 km run along newly created waterfront paths. There are great views of the water & surrounding mountains and skyline. Starting from the promenade at Kwun Tong Public Pier, run along the Kwun Tong Promenade for 1 km, enjoying waterfront views. Continue along the path alongside Shing Fung Rd., and cross over to Kai Tak. Here, it’s 2 km to the end at Kai Tak Runway Park, with great views of the Hong Kong Island, the bay, and West Kowloon. Kai Tak is the site of the former airport, now a unique and graceful green neighbourhood in Hong Kong with developing commercial areas and parks. Retrace your steps to the start.
