Necklace Road and Sanjeevaiah Park

The Necklace Road circling the Hussain Sagar lake is a favorite place to run in Hyderabad, owing to its waterfront promenades and surrounding selection of large parks. Runners can follow the road around the lake for 9.5 km, or venture into any of the nearby parks for more or less distance. Sanjeevaiah Park, Indira Park, and the NTR Gardens are the top choices.

Sanjeevaiah Park, located on a peninsula at the north tip of the lake, features a number of gardens and a variety of asphalt and dirt paths. A loop around the perimeter of the park is about 2.6 km, but runners can add distance with the interior and Necklace Road Paths.

Indira Park borders the southeast bank of the lagoon. There are tree-lined dirt walkways, a lake, and a wide open dirt space at the NTR stadium (great for running sprints). Run a 2 km loop through the park, or add it onto your tour of the Necklace Road.
