Clifton Beach Area

Wikimedia Commons: Swerveu

There’s some pleasant waterside running at Clifton Beach, which can be combined with our other route in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park and Ibn-e-Qasim Park. The best bet for running in Clifton Beach is about 5 km of decent walkways, the highlight being the 1 km Beach View Park. Continue south of there for another ~4 km on a decent path to Captain Farhan Ali Shaheed Park. For an even longer run, continue on Sea View Rd. to Do Darya (see our route there).

The 6 km beach itself is very wide, with fairly firm sand, especially near the water. At the northern end of the beach, you can run along the Oyster Rocks pier (firm sand surface) for ~1.5 km, with good views of the Oyster Rocks. Access is off Marine Promenade, adjacent to the Clifton Beach Parking Lot.

Add-Ons: Ibn-e-Qasim Park is just across the road from Beach View Park, and has lovely paths around landscaped grounds (~2.5 km around the perimeter). From Beach View Park, you can also head north on the path alongside the Boat Basin into Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park.

Essentials
  • Promenade paths are ~5 km. Beach is 6 km long.
  • Flat
  • Beach View Park is a good starting point, or any spot convenient
