Higashi-Takane Forest Park

Google Street View

Higashi-Takane Forest Park is the best green space near the center of Kawasaki for a run. The park is known for its ancient lawn, 200-year-old white oak forest, and nice plantings. Another highlight is a boardwalk type path through an aquatic botanical water garden.

There are ~3 km of trails in the park. A loop of the perimeter paths is ~2 km, so you’ll have to do some laps to get in a longer run.

Essentials
  • ~3 km of paths
  • Gentle rolling hills
  • There's a parking lot in the park. Bus: Shinrin Koen-mae. See park information link for more details
