Ikuta Ryokuchi is the largest green space in the Kawasaki area. It’s a very pretty park, known for its cherry blossoms in spring, irises in summer, and maples in autumn. Other sites in the park include the Japan Open-air Folk House Museum, the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, the Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum. Be sure to take in the views from the Mt. Masugata Observation Platform!
For running, there are numerous trails in the park. One can stitch together a run of 4-5 km without overlapping. This would include taking the ‘branch trails’ to the northern, southern, and eastern ends of the park. We’ve created a route map to use as a guideline.
The trails in the central part of the park around the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art are mainly paved. Outside the central section, there are some dirt trails, boardwalk sections, and some sections with a lot of stairs, such as around Hydrangea Mountain.

- Parking lots at eastern and western ends; Mukogaoka-Yuen Station south exit to reach the East gate. You can also take the Nambu Line to Noborito Station and walk for about 20 minutes.
