Koh Samui Nature Preserve/Hin Lad Waterfall Path

Google Street View

Here’s a hilly trail run with the payoff of a waterfall and swimming hole at its end! The Hin Lad Waterfall is located in the Koh Samui Nature Preserve, at the jungly center of the island. A narrow, rugged path starts at the Wat Namtok Hin Lat Buddhist Temple, and extends through thick jungle for 1.2 km to the waterfall. There are additional waterfalls beyond, but the path is even more rugged. Note the path is hilly, climbing 130m over 1.2 km.

Add-On: For a longer run, the 4172 road, leading to Wat Namtok Hin Lat from Surat Thani, has decent sidewalks, though it’s busy and not very scenic.
