Port, Pier, and Olympics Run

This run is a scenic tour of Lausanne’s Port d’Ouchy, the waterfront path, Le Denatou mansion, and Olympic Park.

Start at the Délices transit station and use the pedestrian path to make your way downhill to the water for 0.6 km. The next section is a tour of the Port Ouchy. Take the waterfront path (Quai) west, and then do a jaunt down the scenic jetty (1 km out and back) adjacent to the Luna Park (fairground). Then, head back east on the waterfront path, continuing further east to the Place du Vieux Port and then Le Denatou mansion, where there are some nice grounds. Turn around here and run for 0.4 km west to the Parc Olympique, where you can do a pleasant running tour of the grounds (some hills and stairs), with its museum and athletic track. Be sure to include the path to the Musée de l’Elysée, a renowned photography museum. Use Avenue de l’Elysée to return to the start of the route.

Add-Ons:  Near the route’s start, run in Parc Milan or any part of our Lausanne ‘Runseeing’ tour. Also, the waterfront paths extend for several km in either direction (see our east and west routes).
