Lac d’Uzurat, Parc de l’Aurence, Bois de la Bastide

Creative Commons 4.0: LucasD

This route, which combines three different ‘sections’, is one of our favorite in Limoges. Run a loop around a lake, on paths through a pleasant park, and then some wooded trails.

Start at the parking lot at the eastern end of Lac d’Uzurat. There’s a 1.5 km paved perimeter path around the lake, featuring nice views of the water the whole way. At the southern end, take the connector path across R. Louis Armand into Parc de l’Aurence. This is a pleasant city park, with paved path running from 2 km from east to west, and around a small lake. Enjoy this ~5 km park loop, then cross back over R. Louis Armand and connect to the Bois de la Bastide, using the connector path at the Lac d’Uzurat parking lot. Create your own route on these wide, wooded, hilly paths. A loop of the perimeter is ~4 km.
