This is an easy to follow 5k ‘Runseeing’ tour of Limoges, hitting all the highlights: historic centre, botanical gardens, small parks, and some grand avenues. There are good add-on options for a longer run.

Start near the Aquarium and run along the Rue de la Boucherie, which is lined with medieval timber-frame houses. Head west along the pedestrian Pl. de la Motte. You’ll see the Église Saint-Michel-des-Lions on your right. Continue into the small, pretty Jardins d’Orsay, do a loop around the paths, and exiting the east end. Run east for 1 km along R. Louvrier de Lajolais/Av. de la Libération into the Champ de Juillet, a small, but classic European city park, with nicely landscaped paths. Exit the park onto Cr. Jourdan, heading south for 0.7 km, passing Square Place Jourdan, onto R. Maupas, passing the Resistance Museum, to the grand Cathédrale Saint-Étienne — which took 6 centuries to complete! Do a loop around this significant cathedral, and its adjacent Jardin botanique de l’Evêché. The final section is 0.6 km along Av. Georges Dumas, passing the grand City Hall (Mairie) on the left.
Longer Run: At Av. Georges Dumas, take a jaunt across the historic Pont Neuf. Add the Vienne River paths, accessible from the Jardins de l’Evêché/Pont Neuf. Can also add the Parc d’Auzette linear park path.

An easy and scenic run in Limoges. Paths on the west bank of the river, 6 km out and back. Nice views of the water and the historic centre. For a longer run, add Parc d'Auzette/Parc du Mas-Rome.
Pleasant paths through a narrow linear park in southeastern Limoges. Combination of wooded and open terrain. Up to 5 km one-way. Eastern end is in Panazol.
One of our favorite runs in Limoges! A loop around Lac d'Uzurat, pleasant paths in Parc de l'Aurence, and wide, wooded and hilly trails in the Bois de la Bastide. Run them separately or combine for a ~10k.
An easy and pleasant 5 km loop in western Limoges incorporating paths in Parc de l'Aurence II and a running track in the Palais des Sports de Beaublanc sports complex. Park is a combination of open and wooded terrain.
