Fanshawe Lake Conservation Area Trails

Google Street View

There’s some very nice trail running in the northern part of London at Fanshawe Lake. The lake is a popular spot for walking, trail running, mountain biking, and boating. For a good challenge, the Fanshawe Lake Trail is up to 21 km around the lake if you want to do the full loop. Or, choose a section! It’s wooded and undulating, quite narrow with some technical features. For those who want to steer clear of the mountain bikers, there are two ‘hiker only’ trails that are great for trail running: the 1.3 km Tamarack Trail and the 2.1 km Meadows Trail, which are close by and connected by road.

NOTES: The park is very popular for mountain bikers. Trail runners should be aware. The Tamarack Trail and Meadows Trail are designated hiker only. Also, the gate can be closed certain days in the off-season. Info
