As part of the extensive series of paths along the Yangtze and Jiajiang rivers, this route focuses on the green spaces of Nanjing International Youth Culture Park, the spectacular Nanjingyan Footbridge, and river paths on Jiangxinzhou Island. Run this route separately or combine with a section of our Yangtze River route.
Start in Nanjing International Youth Culture Park in Hexi New Town, Nanjing’s new central business district (CBD). There’s a conference center and two spectacular towers. Then, take the scenic, 0.5 km Nanjingyan Footbridge over to Jiangxinzhou Island. You can do ~1 km on the paths around Youth Olympic Sports Park. Then, there’s a path along the Jiajiang River on the east part of the island, extending a couple of km north & south.
Add-On: From Youth Culture Park, head south for up to 5 km to Nanjing Yuzui Wetland Park. A nice, green section. You can also head north to the Expo Park. See our Yangtze River route for details.
