A loop around Île Pinette and Île Forget is one of our favorite running routes in Nantes. Flat gravel paths encircle these two small islands, which are located 10 minutes from central Nantes and easily reachable by transport (Tram: St-Sébastien). The landscape here is very pastoral, with open fields and meadows, and on the northern end of the path, some nice views of the Loire River. There are other recreation facilities on Île Pinette, including a running track.

We’ve mapped a loop of the the two islands, which is nearly 7 km. The loop around Île Pinette using the Sentier de Borgeouis trail is 5 km, and the trail around Île Forget is ~2 km. For a longer run, combine with our Île de Nantes route, which is up to 10 km. Use the Pont Léopold (bridge) from Île de Nantes, then the path alongside Boulevard des Pas Enchantés to access Île Forget.
