Hackensack: Saddle River County Park Bike Path

The Saddle River County Park Bike Path is located between Hackensack and Paterson, about 20 miles north of Newark.  There’s about 7 miles of path along the Saddle River and the former railroads. Runners will travel through numerous parks, around playing fields and ponds, all the way to Ridgewood. Note the path can get very busy, especially on weekends.

The southern start point is at Bergen County Rochelle Park, where the path is along both sides of the river for ~ 1 mile. The path continues through Saddle River County Park for ~1 mile, then the Dunkerhook area of Saddle River Park. At Saddle River Park Waterfall, the trail splits, with spurs to Glen Rock Area and Grove Park.
