Features:
The Clos Gaillard is another popular area in Nîmes for some gentle trail running. The 264-hectare open space, located 10 km northwest of Nîmes, is known for its 26 capitelles (ancient stone huts) and many km of heritage stone walls. The landscape is a combination of open scrubland and some lightly wooded sections. The trails are mainly old dirt roads, which can be a bit rocky in sections. Lots of rolling hills!
For running, choose from among the several well-marked color coded circuits: Blue (700 m); Yellow (6.65 km); Red (3.4 km); and Green (5.4 km). There are kiosks with maps.
